Bells Beach Blossoms watercolour painting was inspired by a much anticipated visit to this iconic surf beach in Victoria Australia. Bells Beach is home to one of our most famous world surf competitions, we timed our visit just one week prior to the competition and had the shear joy of watching some of the best surfers in the world ‘practice’ on near perfect waves.
The low growing wind swept Eucalyptus trees that are native to the area where in full bloom. The stunning delicate flower tucked within the twisted branches and rich green leaves added to the beauty of the headland.
Painting this loose watercolour with the ‘dancing leaves’ captures the feeling of place.
