Featuring the iconic magpie alongside a vintage glass Nestlé milk jar, this artwork is anchored by a bright pink cyclamen in full bloom. The contrast between the strong presence of the magpie, the reflective glass, and the softness of the flower creates a balanced composition that feels both contemporary and quietly sentimental.

Painted in my studio on the Mid North Coast of NSW, this piece captures a fleeting moment — before the cyclamen began to droop, as they inevitably do in the coastal climate. It reflects an appreciation for impermanence, memory, and the small details that hold meaning over time.
